These pictures show examples of snow melt tubing installation that we can do and have done. The placement of tubing both in depth below top of concrete/asphalt and spacing of rows is critical to a properly operating system. If it is too low or improperly spaced there will not be complete melting of snow from sidewalk or entry way.

This is the mechanical room piping at a local utility company. We put a lot of pipe in a small area on this one! However, in the end, it all worked as designed and the equipment was serviceable. The piping that disappears down the corridor is all grading back to the mechanical room to allow for draining the entire system. We had to offset around a large girder, that supported the second floor, while still maintaining our spacing.

This customer wanted to replace existing tub & shower with ADA or handicap accessible unit to provide a usable shower for her 93 year old father. We removed existing tub, valve and drain. Installed new shower valve, drain and hand held body wash with slider. Father was very happy!

This customer contacted us distraught. Their irrigation system which provides water for their horses and fields had a habit of bursting and breaking piping. Notice the glue joint below the #5 valve has failed. Similar issues were occurring about every 6 months for the last year and a half. We evaluated piping layout and discovered that location of water hammer arrestor would not provide proper protection against possible water hammer. Water hammer occurs when a valve closes, the momentum of the water in the pipe stops suddenly and sends a shock wave backwards. At times this force can be so great that it breaks or pushes pipes and joints apart. We also did not like the thickness or schedule of the pipe being used. With the pressures and hammering possible we suggested that we increase the schedule of pipe from 40 to 80 and install a new water hammer arrestor in the proper location. Customer has not had any breaks since our installation which occurred in 2009.
